Carelessness

My mother told me to be good. She told me to do what’s right. To be aware of my surroundings. I used to think “Why? What could happen? I’m 14 their is no possible I could get hurt. I am invincible.” One rainy day walking home, on my phone, earphones in. I couldn’t see it it was behind me. I couldn’t hear it, my music was playing. Then it happened. Now I’m gone watching the world below me go by slowly. My little brother now older than I ever can be. My mother wither away. My room gone. My friends living their life. Me… I’m gone. I was not invincible.
